RATES & INSURANCE

Session Durations and Costs at Blossom Family Therapy

 

At Blossom Family Therapy, we offer a range of therapy services to meet your needs:

​

Self-Pay Rates

  • 80-minute Intake Session: $275.00

  • 50-minute Session: $175.00

  • 90-minute Family Session: $275.00 per session (Self-pay only rate)

  • Extended Couple & Family Sessions: Custom rates available, please contact us

  • 30-minute Add-On Sessions: $100.00

Intensives and Group Therapy

​

  • Intensive Therapy Sessions: Prices are determined per individualized intensive. Please contact us for custom rates.

  • Group Therapy Sessions: Prices are determined per group. Please contact us for specific group rates.

 

Payment and Cancellation Policy

​

Payment:

​

Payment for services is due on the day the services are provided. A valid credit card must be kept on file for all clients, and it will be billed on the morning of your scheduled session.

Accepted forms of payment include cash, Visa, American Express, and Mastercard. Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA) can also be used for therapy payments, provided a backup credit card is on file to cover any unpaid balances.

Cancellation Policy:

​

If you are unable to attend a session, kindly ensure that you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, the full rate of the session will be charged.

Cancellations, No Shows, and Rescheduling

​

At Blossom Family Therapy, we understand that life can sometimes throw unexpected challenges our way. In order to respect both your time and our therapists' schedules, we have established a 24-hour advance notice cancellation policy, which is a standard practice in the industry.

If you find it necessary to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that you do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled session. Failure to provide this notice in advance, or not showing up for your scheduled appointment, will result in a charge equivalent to your cash rate session fee.

A portion of our practice is reserved for individuals seeking sliding-scale fee options. Please contact our office to inquire about available sliding-scale openings.

Insurance and Payment Options

​

At Blossom Family Therapy, we strive to provide flexibility and support regarding insurance and payment options. Depending on your health insurance or employee benefit plan, out-of-network services might be covered fully or partially. Contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates for psychotherapy services.

Out-of-Network Services:

​

We do not accept all insurances and may be considered an out-of-network provider. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, out-of-network services might be covered in full or in part. Contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

Guidance for Determining Benefits:

​

We recommend asking your insurance provider the following questions to determine your out-of-network benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

  • Does my plan cover out-of-network services?

  • Do I have a deductible, and have I met it yet?

  • What is the copay for therapy, if applicable?

  • Does my plan limit the number of sessions per calendar year?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician for coverage?

  • Does my insurance cover Couples or Family counseling?

 

Couples & Family Counseling

Please be aware that most insurers do not cover or reimburse couples counseling, even if it's out-of-network. To find out if your insurance provides coverage, ask your insurer specifically about the diagnostic code Z63.0 – Problems in relationship with spouse or partner. Inquire about the procedure code to use, the number of covered sessions, and request this information in writing.
